Kenecott Copper Mine

Of all the time I've spent in Utah, I can't believe I've never been here before!
I'm so glad Gramma Lee suggested it! It's AMAZING!
This open mine is so big that astronauts can see it from space!!!!!
Of all the earth they dig out, only 1% contains copper, but they go through so much every day that they make millions of dollars a year.
You can imagine the size of the vehilcles in the pit.

I highly recommend this relatively quick trip if you're passing through Utah!

Okay, where is this? Awesome! And that tire? Scary.

Again, another place I've not been to in my life and I live not all that far from it. Garrison got to go there for a field trip last month and said that he had a good time. He did mention how big the trucks are, and that the tire was huge, but I had no idea just how big it really is. Wow! That's great that your mom suggested going there. :)
