Happy Halloween!

For the 4th year in a row we went trick or treating on Second Street where all the businesses give out candy to the kids. This is the last year we'll get to do this with our good friends, the Fields before they move. : (
This is Isaac's new thing he does when crossing a street. I don't know if it's to stop the cars or because I told him he was too small for people in cars to see him.

One thing I haven't noticed until this year was the costumes the candy-givers were wearing. Luckily I don't think my boys did! I even have one picture that is so risque I can't post it! What's a street full of these girls without one of these:
Can you guess what Seth was for halloween? He decided to be a pain in the neck. By the end of the night, it was not such a happy halloween for him since he wasn't feeling well. He lasted a good while, though. This is the second year in a row he refused to wear a costume.

This was the first year we got to go with some other good friends, the Browers and Radcliffes. After our long trek down Second Street, we had a yummy dinner at BJ's. After that we went trick or treating in our friend's neighborhood. I wish we would have gotten a picture at the best house of all, the Johnson's. It was SO much fun with all the houses decorated and nice people giving out candy. I think we'll replace the crowds at 2nd Street next year for the traditional door to door.

Here's some pics of our extended Halloween at our ward fall festival on Saturday night, November 1st. I really wish I had known Seth was still sick, but it was too late by the time he threw up in the hallway.

Wow! Seth played such a convincing "pain in the neck!" :)

That princess Leia costume is so adorable.

And so is Isaac's street crossing!

Your boys are so cute! I can relate to the lack of excitement for costumes as my three year old had quite the tantrum before going to the library costume dress up and on Halloween night. It must be a boy thing to stop the cars. Daniel, my 7 yr old, did that and now Austin, my 3 yr old, does it. It is so funny when we go to the bus stop to get the kids from school. He holds out his hand and says "Stop bus!". And of course it stops to let the children off. But he then turns to me and says "See, I stopped the bus." Kids are a hoot!

Shelby also likes to be a pain in the neck at Halloween. Dressing up is not her thing - she refused or put on under duress her costume at 2, 3, and 4. Goodluck! Give him a costume that includes a sword and I bet he'll be happy!

Look like the Joneses are having fun! I wish I could keep up!

Wow, are you sure you went to the right business district and not the red light district?? :> Looks like you guys had a great Halloween! I love the pic of Isaac stopping traffic - kids really are the best entertainment.

Ok- what hallway in the building did Seth throw up in so I can avoid! :) So cute Anne! I love that Audrey fits into her Princess Leah outfit this year. What a fun Halloween!

As someone once said. Halloween is an excuse for grls to dress like Sl*** and NOT be considered one! AAHHH! How on earth are we going to raise these boys when that is in the malls and in every day walking!!!? I Love your kiddos costume--it seems like you may have a anti-Halloween kiddo! soo sorry that can ruin an already busy holiday for momma's!

Love that look on your DH's face in the picture with Seth. It so captures parental frustration!

Maybe he will want to dress up next year?

I too love the favorite pictures. There should be a word to describe what Matt is feeling there that every parent has felt. A single word, not the whole long description of exhausted from trying to reason/please/cheer/comfort a reasonless/cheerless,comfortless child, frustrated, mad, sad, irritated, resigned, etc.

And Isaac's little style or personality is really cute in the crossing one.
